deja privacy policy

Last updated: 11 October 2026

deja is a Chrome extension that lets you search the posts you saved on Instagram, X, YouTube, Pinterest, Reddit, LinkedIn and TikTok. This page says what it does with your data. The short version: your saves never leave your computer.

What deja can't see

deja runs on your device. The search, the AI and your library all live in your browser.

Where it goes

Helping deja get better

To know what to improve, deja counts which of its features get used. For example: how often the panel opens and for how long, how many searches find something, what kind of thing people look for (food, places, music: worked out on your computer, never the words), which result people open, and which apps are synced.

Only if you choose:

What deja downloads

Bug reports

Besides the counts above, only if you choose to send a bug report from deja's menu. It opens a form on Tally (tally.so), and you can read what's attached before you send it. The report holds technical details: counts of saves per app, error messages and settings. It doesn't hold your saved posts. Your last few searches are included only if you tick that box.

Children

deja is not made for children under 13.

Changes

If this policy changes, the new version will be posted here with a new date.
